Sterngold Dental needed 3D dental device product illustration and animation to show their new line of dental implants under development. DreamLight worked with their engineers to take exports of their raw 3D SolidWorks engineering files and import them into The Foundry’s modo where we cleaned up the models and applied surfaces to prepare them for high quality rendering. We then built a custom set of 3D dentures and gum cross sections in order to be able to exhibit the dental implant products in their full context. We brought all these parts into NewTek’s LightWave 3D where we set up lights, textures and cameras to render the full set of images out to high resolution 3D dental illustrations as high quality, high resolution 3D renders suitable for use everywhere from low resolution web imagery up to high resolution print reproduction. This is the first of a potential series of 3d dental device product illustration and animation projects for the client that may be use on their online product catalog as well as product application and installation procedure animations.
